Serato 2.4
There is an updated for both Dj Pro and Dj lite being released this October! Serato has released the beta for Serato users to try out. The details of what’s included have now been shared to the public, let’s take a look at what’s included in Serato 2.4.
The Dj Software company last major release Pro 2.3 was released last year October. Thye have since released minor updates throughout the year. Their competitors, however, have made significant releases during the lockdown. Both Rekordbox and Denon making essential announcements of new features within their software. Serato users have been waiting for something big this year.
Serato 2.4 updates
Beatport LINK streaming / Beatsource LINK streaming
Searto Currently only supports Tidal streaming. Now having Beatport and beatsauce opens up even more steaming options for DJs.
Live streaming
Durning the start of lockdown, almost every DJ wanted to at least give live streaming a try. however the set up with OBS had a learning curve to it. Serato will now make that process a step more manageable with the ability to have Serato play directly in OBS.
Use laptop speakers as the master output
Although it seems simple, this could be an excellent feature for the DJ that wants to practice at home and does not have speakers.
Advanced MIDI mapping
Expanding on the midi mapping feature already available, The advanced MIDI mapping allows for more Serato pro features and FX to be mapped to a device.
